Overview

Join IAG Defence and National Security, where we deliver mission-critical cyber and ICT capability to government. We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (EL1 equivalent) to support BlueSkyMine (BSM), ASD's secure cloud platform operating at the PROTECTED classification level.

What you'll do
  • Configure, secure & enhance Microsoft technologies using Commonwealth-approved designs.
  • Manage policies for Windows devices, including ACfB & Hardware Allowlisting.
  • Package & deploy apps via Intune; configure Autopilot for seamless onboarding.
  • Apply PSPF, ISM & Government Security controls.
  • Mentor junior staff & contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
  • Collaborate across Defence, ASD, and partner organisations.
What we're looking for
  • Australian citizen with current NV1 or higher clearance
  • Microsoft certified (Azure) – or equivalent practical experience
  • 2–3 years' hands-on experience in Azure & Intune
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Security, Entra ID, and PaaS features
  • Familiar with infrastructure-as-code, automation & CI/CD pipelines
  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP, Load Balancing)
  • Work on nationally significant Defence & National Security projects
