We're on the lookout for a Head of Operations to lead our day-to-day fleet activities and help drive standards in the evolving passenger transport industry.

About the Role

This role will manage and coordinate the daily operations of the vehicle fleet. It will ensure the safe and efficient operation of drivers, passengers and company assets. It requires liaison and collaboration with customer service to optimise system-wide operations, particularly in emergency situations.

What You'll Do:

Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the vehicle fleet

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of drivers, passengers, partners, and company assets

Provide support to the Customer Service team during staff shortages or emergency situations

Conduct training and coaching for drivers in:

o Safe and efficient driving techniques

o Compliance with internal policies and procedures

Implement and supervise promotional or sales campaigns initiated by the company

Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with partners and clients

Expand customer networks and business opportunities

Prepare periodic reports (weekly/monthly), propose operational improvements

Collaborate with other departments to optimise system-wide operations

Respond to incidents, provide remote support and log issues accurately

Ensure drivers follow assigned routes, safety standards and work hour limits

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline

Minimum of 4 years' experience in transport operations

Ability to hold a passenger Transport Safety certification

Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations

Professional driving experience (eg. Taxi, Uber, Bus, Delivery)

Fleet Operations management including team leadership

Ability to train and mentor drivers

Proficiency with email, GPS tracking systems and fleet management software required
