Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Mount Gambier.

Position Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design and detailing of machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.
  • Commissioning Automation wood Manufacturing.
  • Procurement of materials and parts for engineering projects.
  • Machine construction & testing in Somersby workshop.
  • Factory automation design for plant upgrades, optimisation and new projects.
  • Layout drawings for project proposal, planning and execution.
  • Calculations to analyse throughput and performance.

Attributes And Experience

  • Experience in 2D or 3D CAD drafting, including ability to produce manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience in Mechanical design and Automation.
  • Ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

About You

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar degrees), Diploma Mechanical Engineering with experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be proactive.
  • Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet targets.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently either independently or as part of a team.
  • Hold a current driver's licence.

This is a full-time permanent position within our Engineering Team. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.

Rate Will Be Negotiable Based On Experience And Qualifications.
