About The Role

Operating within Learning & Development Team, the Manager, Learning and Development leads the delivery of Learning and Development at ACU. The position is responsible for managing a team of Learning and Development specialists to support the capability of the ACU workforce. The Manager, Learning and Development acts as a strategic partner to the university, and is required to consult and engage with stakeholders to ensure that learning and development programs are relevant and responsive to the emerging needs of the University.

The Manager, Learning and Development is accountable and responsible for designing, sourcing, enhancing and delivering a suite of learning offerings across the university. The position requires a broad understanding of contemporary adult learning principles and solutions and the ability to think strategically about how best to build capability across a diverse workforce. The position is also responsible for consultation and relationship management with external training providers and measuring and reporting on the impact, engagement and progress made through ACU's investment in staff development.

What We Offer
  • The University pursues an excellence agenda and offers an environment where staff are welcomed and safe, and valued through development, participation and involvement.
  • Total remuneration valued to $160,095 - $170,833 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $135,360 - $144,538 (pro rata) pa (HEW 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
