Location - Darwin

Employment Type - Full time or Part time (4 days per week)

Salary - $90,000 - $110,000 including annual leave loading & superannuation, vehicle options, mobile, and laptop

About The Role
We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide impactful therapy to NDIS participants. Your daily tasks may include:
  • Working in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centers
  • Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving goals and maximizing NDIS funding
  • Building meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks (family, carers, friends)
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, using a positive behaviour support framework
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
  • Participating in weekly team meetings to share impact stories and foster team camaraderie
  • Receiving support from your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor

Candidates must have a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma) and appropriate registration, such as:
  • Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration
  • Speech Pathologist with SPA registration
  • Social Worker eligible for AASW membership
  • Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science, or related field
Additional requirements include:
  • Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
  • At least 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Positive, flexible attitude towards work
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Valid Australian driver's license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
