Job Description (JD)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst cum System Tester to support the end-to-end development and implementation of a new Trade Finance System. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business/ operations users and the system vendor/ IT development team, with a primary focus on defining functional requirements for trade finance products and ensuring high-quality delivery through rigorous testing and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document functional requirements for trade finance products such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), Trade Financing products, Collection – both conventional and Islamic.
• Analyze and map business processes, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements aligned with the new system capabilities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and user stories.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and product owners to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of functional requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate system functionality against defined requirements.
• Perform system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for the trade finance system.
• Validate data accuracy, workflow integrity, and compliance with business rules.
• Identify, log, and manage defects, retest and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable)

• Preferably Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or System Tester of Trade Finance System.
• Knowledge in Islamic Trade Finance business and system would be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products and operational workflows.
• Proven experience in defining functional requirements and specifications for financial systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Prior involvement in end-to-end development or replacement of trade finance would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with API testing, automation tools, and database queries is a plus.
