BINGO industries are looking for our newest Production Manager. This is an exciting opportunity working out of Coopers Plain QLD.
Role & Responsibilities:- Plan, organise, and manage the manufacturing activities in the workshop to meet production schedules and targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure they are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to address any issues that arise during manufacturing, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of workshop personnel, including technicians, operators, and support staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, targets, and performance expectations.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their skills and professional development.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all manufactured bins meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
- Perform regular inspections of products at various stages of production and oversee the implementation of corrective actions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement within the workshop.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements, such as lean manufacturing techniques or technology upgrades.
- Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure an accurate count of materials and components required for production.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overages and coordinate with procurement as needed.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and guidelines within the workshop environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety consciousness among team members.
- Education or Qualification in, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a trade related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing workshop setting, preferably in the bin manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team toward common goals.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of implementing process improvements.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for production tracking, inventory management, and reporting.
