Manager, Procurement and Engineering at AC Solar Warehouse

Primary Role

The role involves providing electrical engineering support internally to the wider sales and manufacturing teams as well as directly to our customers in the form of solar and energy storage system modelling, design, review, and compliance assessment.

We have an exciting opportunity available for engineers at any career stage, from recent graduates to experienced RPEQs. We are seeking proactive and motivated engineers with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate results. This role offers the chance to apply and further develop your engineering expertise while collaborating closely with colleagues across departments.

Key Duties
  1. Develop an in-depth knowledge of leading solar and energy storage technologies, including installation, operation, and maintenance.
  2. Develop a detailed understanding of Australian design standards and international best practices in solar and energy storage design.
  3. Support customers (solar installers) with modelling and designing domestic and commercial solar and energy storage systems using industry-leading tools and technologies.
  4. Prepare schematic diagrams compliant with Australian standards.
  5. Prepare bills of materials and quotations for solar and energy storage projects.
  6. Provide technical support and advice to customers.
  7. Support the sales team with quotations, cost estimates, and engineering support.
  8. Investigate and assess new solar and energy storage technologies.
  9. Design, manufacture, and ensure quality assurance of domestic and commercial switchboards.
  10. Check and provide RPEQ sign-off (if applicable) on engineering reports, drawings, and documents.
  11. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement engineering processes.
  12. Manage customer expectations regarding engineering services.
  13. Liaise with stakeholders, including manufacturers, related to engineering activities.
  14. Identify and resolve customer concerns.
  15. Identify and pursue opportunities to increase engineering sales and services.
  16. Work with internal product specialists to identify and pursue new product opportunities.
  17. Support sales teams with relevant technical information to facilitate selling engineering services and products.
