About The Role

We are looking for an innovative Operations Manager to join Canon Business Services' Technology Centre (CTC) located in Canberra. This mail, digitisation, data capture and print hub has a great culture in a high paced and rewarding environment. Reporting to the State Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Technology Centre and associated business within Canon Business Services. This role will require a strong process improvement eye and well-versed people leadership skills.

Main Duties

  1. Strategically manage all aspects of the operational centre service to the client/s, ensuring contractual and service level agreements are achieved.
  2. Provide management and direction to the team and promote reward, recognition, and feedback throughout the Technology Centre.
  3. Recruit and retain a strong team, ensuring direct reports understand the expectations of their role.
  4. Manage daily productivity across site through real time, daily and monthly reporting tools.
  5. Ensure client revenue and other financial budgets are met and monitored on a monthly basis.
  6. Identify trends and develop and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the Technology Centre.
  7. Develop an understanding of the client's business and form relationships in order to generate additional revenue.
  8. Assist Sales and Marketing to identify, investigate and scope service extension opportunities and additional work requests to achieve growth objectives.
  9. Ensure that Canon Business Services' Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed throughout the Technology Centre.

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone who possesses strong people management skills including building & leading teams. Someone who has the ability to work autonomously & is a natural at problem-solving. We are open to candidates with a background in diverse industries.

  1. Experience in leading a high performing operational team.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Six Sigma/LEAN qualification desirable.
  4. Cost understanding reporting.
  5. Keen attention to detail.
  6. Excellent in decision making.
  7. Productivity management and continuous process improvement.
  8. Excellent in time management and organisational skills.
