Arborist - Vegetation Worker

About the role

SAVCO VEGETATION SERVICES PTY LTD is seeking a full-time Arborist - Vegetation Worker to join our team in Ipswich QLD 4305. As an Arborist - Vegetation Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the local landscape through expert tree and vegetation management.

What you'll be doing

• Performing tree pruning, trimming, and removal tasks using specialised equipment and techniques
• Assessing the health and condition of trees and vegetation, and recommending appropriate treatment or management plans
• Operating various power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, chippers, and mulchers, in a safe and efficient manner
• Providing landscaping and gardening services, including mowing, edging, and other ground maintenance activities
• Ensuring work sites are kept clean, tidy, and safe throughout the duration of each project
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Arboriculture or a related field, such as a Certificate III in Arboriculture
• Previous experience as an Arborist or Vegetation Worker, with a demonstrated understanding of tree biology and care
• Proficiency in the use of specialized equipment and machinery used in tree and vegetation management
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to assess and address various landscaping and vegetation challenges
• Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
• A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate a manual or automatic vehicle
