The Company

We are excited to be recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join our industry-leading client, based at Southbank. Our client is a global, reputable infrastructure contractor in the mining and minerals processing sector, known for delivering innovative solutions across large, impactful projects. With a strong reputation for excellence, consistency, and quality project delivery, they are an employer of choice due to their rapid market growth and diverse project portfolio. We're looking for a proactive individual who can quickly absorb existing processes and make an immediate positive impact.

The Appointment

Working within the finance team, working across multiple entities where you will play a key role in the implementation and analysis of all reporting activities all whilst bringing a consultative mindset to look at areas for improvement and collaboration. This role reports directly to CFO.

Your Day:

• Identify and assist in the streamlining processes. eg month end accruals, budgeting and forecasting process, billings and cash collections etc.
• Provide assessments on key financial project risks and opportunities.
• Preparation and review of allocated business unit financial performance.
• Provide required training to the business unit understanding relevant financial matters.
• Active involvement in the cash flow forecast processes for the Group.
• In-depth understanding and analysis of overheads, highlighting valuable insights.

Must Haves:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance and /or Commerce.
• CA/CPA qualified or studying towards a qualification.
• 5+ years post graduate experience in financial/management accounting roles within a medium/large corporate environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Heavy industry experience, ideally not corporate only
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced excel modelling skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritise and control workload arising from a broad user base.
• Experience in working with large ERPs.
