Responsibilities

• Identity & Access Ownership: Design, manage and automate access provisioning (SSO, Conditional Access, Entra ID, Auth0, Exchange) across cloud and SaaS. Drive least-privilege principles and own source-of-truth identity flows.
  
• Security automation & alerting: Build and maintain alert-driven automations for access monitoring, control evidence capture, and security incident prevention—no manual checklists.
  
• Cloud security & governance: Own and operationalise Azure-native tools like Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, VM patching, NSGs, and firewall rules. Respond fast, remediate early.
  
• GitHub security: Manage GitHub org security—govern secrets, permissions, branch protections, and automate policy checks.
  
• Policy-as-code: Codify security controls and compliance baselines using Terraform and Azure Policy; make rules enforceable and reproducible.
  
• AI-powered operations: Use LLMs and copilots to enhance documentation, triage alerts, and generate scripts or checks—make smart automation your default.
  
• Azure cost management: Monitor and optimise spend across environments. Build dashboards and alerting to keep costs under control.
  
• Write code: Contribute hands-on to infrastructure modules, internal tools, and automation workflows such as Azure Logic App, N8N workflows.
  

What we're looking for

• Raise the security bar: Design and automate controls that let us scale fast while staying compliant and audit-ready.
  
• Build the system: Systems-thinking is required to consider how to set up foundational components so processes can be self-serviced. Turn the 'unseen' into 'seen' and enable leaders to drive appropriate accountabilities throughout the team.
  
• Glue across disciplines: Be the connector across Security, Platform, Risk, and Compliance—ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

• Coding skills, full-stack background is preferred (TypeScript, Python, or shell) and IaC experience (Terraform preferred).
  
• Hands-on experience with identity lifecycle management across SSO, Entra ID, Auth0, and Exchange—you know how accounts are created, maintained, and offboarded securely.
  
• Solid understanding of IAM (Azure Entra, SCIM, cloud security posture (Defender, Sentinel, firewall, patching), and incident response across Azure).
  
• Demonstrated ownership of security tooling across GitHub Security (secrets, permissions, CI/CD hardening), and monitoring/alert system integrations.
  
• Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks (Sentinel, Azure Policy), cloud governance best practices.
  
• Passion for using AI and automation to enhance monitoring, documentation, and proactive alerting.
  
• Experience with Full Azure cloud stack, Terraform modules for security/governance, GitHub Actions, Confluence/Jira automations, or regulated environments (SOC2 / internal controls / CAP), or GCP.
