Roster: 7/7 Rotating Day/Night - 12hr shifts

Location: Yarrabee - Blackwater, QLD 4717

About The Business

Yancoal Australia is Australia's largest pure play coal producer. It boasts three tier one thermal coal mines in New South Wales together with interests in three other metallurgical and thermal coal mines located in New South Wales and Queensland. Yancoal Australia also manages five other Australian coal mines on behalf of related parties.

Owned by Yancoal, Yarrabee is based in Blackwater QLD which is 200 km west of the Capricorn Coast. Yarrabee is a proud producer of high-quality PCI coal since 1982.

We employ approximately 400 people, who are our most valuable asset and we invest in developing our management and leadership talent throughout our operations.

Yarrabee is seeking trade qualified Auto Electricians who would like to join the team on a 7/7 roster.

Job Tasks And Responsibilities

The role will require you to:

• Perform the servicing, breakdown repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment including Liebherr 996, 9600, 9350 & 994 and Hitachi 8000, Komatsu 830E Trucks Hitachi 5000 Trucks, CAT Track Dozers, CAT Graders and other ancillary equipment as required
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in your work area
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the equipment or work procedures
• Scope and create SAP notifications for preventative work
• Work independently and collaboratively across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  
  

Skills And Experience

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
• Experience in the above mentioned fleet and open pit exposure
• Modular and Hexagon exposure highly regarded
• Current Manual C Class Drivers Licence
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a mine site environment.
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Current Standard 11 Induction or willing to obtain
