Director – Clean Energy and Transmission, NSW Lead. Lead the New South Wales team for Turner & Townsend in Australia and New Zealand, delivering projects and programs in the Clean Energy & Transmission sector from pursuit to delivery.
Responsibilities- Establish and lead the NSW Clean Energy & Transmission team to deliver projects, programs and bids from pursuit through execution.
- Develop and deliver market strategies for capital projects in public and private sectors; manage relationships with state, national and international clients.
- Provide strategic leadership and SME input on project management, commercial management and project controls; coordinate interfaces with engineering and grid compliance.
- Pursue and respond to government tenders; lead growth through new and existing client relationships and cross-selling opportunities.
- Represent the business at industry events and collaborations; mentor and develop team members.
- 20+ years of relevant industry experience predominantly in the Energy and Transmission sectors.
- A recognised Degree qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
- An electrical technical background is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience delivering major energy and transmission projects; understanding of the electricity value chain, regulatory and permitting requirements and industry trends.
- Preference for Australian experience with an established network within the power & transmission industry supply chain.
- Experience in both client and consultant environments; ability to lead a key client partnering approach and support growth.
- Proactive approach to business development and mentoring the team.
