Casual Animal Attendant at Vetfriends Chatswood

Are you a passionate, caring, and eager-to-learn Animal Attendant who enjoys a challenge, works with a variety of species, and provides gold-standard patient care? We're looking for Animal Attendants to join our talented and growing team at Chatswood Vetfriends on a casual basis in a brand-new team at a large purpose-built GP clinic.

Vetfriends Chatswood is a purpose-built clinic opened in 2005. Our focus is to improve patients' quality of life by providing gold-standard care, with the latest knowledge and equipment, while educating clients about their pets' health through effective and personable communication. We are a gold-certified cat-friendly clinic with a separate cat waiting area, cat consult room, cat ward, and boarding, with a focus on feline & rabbit care.

What We're Looking For
  • Ideally a qualified Cert II or equivalent Animal Attendant/Junior Nurse
  • 1+ years' experience in handling primarily cats & dogs
  • Caring and dedicated individual with an interest in gaining experience with companion animals
  • Experience working with and caring for boarding animals
  • A positive attitude, a real team player and excellent communication skills
  • A genuine passion for patient care and a commitment to providing the best service to clients and their pets
About The Role
  • Husbandry of hospitalised and boarding cats and dogs
  • Assisting vets and nurses with handling/restraining animals
  • Boarding duties (walking dogs, feeding cats and dogs, cleaning tasks)
  • General housekeeping tasks
  • Simple reception tasks (training provided)
