Overview

Role

GFM Accountants are seeking to employ a bright, enthusiastic and experienced ACCOUNTANT to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to work on a quality client base that mainly consists of privately owned businesses over a wide range of industries. You will be exposed to all areas of taxation, accounting and business advisory.

Role Description

You will be responsible for -

  • Preparation of Financial Statements for small to medium businesses
  • Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies and Trusts
  • Advising clients in relation to taxation matters including CGT, FBT and Division 7a
  • Assist with interim tax planning and wealth creation strategies for small to medium businesses
  • Liaise directly with clients, financial institutions, the ATO and other stakeholders on financial matters
  • Assist in managing a small team of accountants
Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications / key attributes -

  • Bachelor of Business (Accounting) Qualification
  • Minimum 3 years Public Practice Accounting Experience
  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
