About the work

We are knee deep in developing a bold new retail + experiential concept in Sydney's CBD — blending luxury retail, art installations, and interactive technology. Inspired by disruptive innovators like MONA and led and created by the pioneer of Honey Birdette, Eloise Monaghan this project aims to create a destination space that merges pleasure, design, and talkability with Avant-garde product. You need to be radical, and challenging to existing artistic norms, tastes, and societal conventions.

What I am Looking For

A solo AI specialist / independent consultant (Sydney-based preferred) to help bring the interactive and immersive elements of our concept to life. I am seeking someone who combines technical skill with creative problem solving.

Scope of Work

  • AI-Powered Interactivity
  • Develop or advise on voice/sound-triggered installations (e.g. playful compliments, audio experiences, or interactive soundscapes).
  • Explore generative AI applications for personalised retail engagement.
  • Customer Experience Design (AI Layer)
  • Ideate how AI can create immersive, memorable entry experiences.
  • Propose practical AI integrations in-store (motion sensors, voice AI, AR/VR,

  • Retail Data + Engagement
  • Advise on integrating AI to track and optimise foot traffic, dwell time, and engagement hotspots (within ethical/privacy frameworks).
  • Prototyping Support
  • Help us design pilot demos to showcase to investors and creative partners.

Ideal Candidate

  • Solo operator / freelancer with proven AI expertise.
  • Background in machine learning, NLP, generative AI, or creative AI applications.
  • Ability to translate technical potential into customer-facing magic.
  • Open to creative collaboration with designers, artists, and retail fit-out specialists.
  • Bonus: Experience in retail, experiential marketing, or installation art projects.

Deliverables

  • Concept proposals for AI-enhanced features (2–3 ideas).
  • Technical feasibility outline + costings for implementation.
  • Prototype/demo (software or simulation) for one priority feature.

Engagement Details

  • Freelance / contract basis.
  • Part-time, project-based (initial 4–6 weeks, extendable).
  • Hybrid: remote + occasional onsite collaboration in Sydney CBD.
