About the role

Rembrandt Living is seeking a casual Cook and Kitchen Hand to join our team at our Oaklands Park location in South Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our residents, as well as assisting the kitchen team with general food preparation and cleaning duties. Minimum 24 hours a week on a casual basis. Shifts will be allocated over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals for our residents
  • Assisting with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing and dicing ingredients
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Ensuring all food handling and safety procedures are followed
  • Providing excellent customer service to our residents

What we're looking for

  • Relevant experience as a Cook or Kitchen Hand, preferably in a hospitality or aged care setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Basic knowledge of nutritional principles and dietary requirements for older people
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
