Overview

Byron Shire Council is currently seeking enthusiastic Mechanics and expressions of interest for the role of Workshop Supervisor. The positions perform a wide range of mechanical repair and maintenance on Council's Plant and Equipment.

These opportunities offer:

  • Two (2) permanent, full-time Mechanic positions (38 hours per week / 9 day fortnight) or;
  • One (1) term, full-time Workshop Supervisor position (38 hours per week / 9 day fortnight) to replace incumbent during periods of leave or as operationally required
  • Flexible working arrangements post onboarding can be negotiated
  • Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,155.40 to $1,338.70 per 38 hour week for Mechanics (dependent upon skills and experience) and a salary in the range of $1,310.30 to $1,518.18 per 38 hour week for the Workshop Supervisor (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location

These positions are based at Byron Depot, however Council can require you to work from other sites as required for operational reasons.
