We are actively seeking an experienced Traffic Planner to join our Southern Cross Pacific, Traffic Services team.

In this role, you will have responsibility for developing and implementing comprehensive traffic management plans to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around a variety of work sites. You will use your problem solving and analytical skills to address complex traffic challenges, and strong communication skills to become an integral member of our traffic team.

What you'll be doing

·Undertaking comprehensive site assessments to identify potential traffic and pedestrian management challenges.

·Designing and implementing traffic management plans that prioritise safety and minimise disruptions.

·Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and subcontractors to coordinate traffic flow and access.

·Continuously monitoring and adjusting traffic management plans to respond to changing site conditions.

·Providing guidance and oversight to the traffic control team to ensure plans are executed effectively.

·Maintaining detailed records and documentation to comply with industry regulations and client requirements.

·Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of best practices

What we're looking for

·Demonstrated practical experience in a traffic planning or traffic management role.

·A valid Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan( PWZ) card.

· Experience in using Rapid Plans

·A sound understanding of relevant traffic management principles, regulations and best practices.

·High levelproblem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address complex traffic challenges.

·Experience in the use of traffic management software and tools.

·Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

·Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide guidance to traffic control personnel.

·Relevant traffic industry training and qualifications.
