Base pay range: A$307,614.00/yr - A$379,302.00/yr
Position OverviewThe Deputy Principal Registrar supports the Chief Justice, Chief Executive Officer, and Principal Registrar in exercising their statutory duties and managing the Court's daily operations.
The Court has 63 judges and registries across 7 locations. The Deputy Registrar will also lead the Court's expanded criminal jurisdiction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Executive Leadership: Support the Court's management, lead initiatives, manage policies, provide legal advice, and support judicial functions.
- Leadership in Criminal Jurisdiction: Support the Court's expanded criminal jurisdiction, develop policies, manage staff, and perform judicial functions as delegated.
- Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with government agencies, courts, legal professionals, and internal staff; represent the Court at meetings.
- Legal qualifications with extensive litigation experience, including criminal law.
- Senior management experience, particularly in the public sector.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and change management skills.
- Proven leadership and staff management abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
