This is an open Expression of Interest that will assist the North West Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable candidates seeking Casual employment with the Mount Isa Hospital's Clinical Administration Support team.
If suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and you may be contacted throughout this period for further assessment (e.g. interview) at the time an opportunity arises.
North West Hospital and Health Service are seeking Expressions of Interest from Ward Administrators to assist on a casual basis working in various areas of Mount Isa Hospital's Clinical Administration Support team.
Your opportunity
- Respond to enquiries and provide information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors to facilitate effective service delivery within a hospital setting. Contribute to patient flow by performing a support role to nursing and medical staff.
- Provide a broad range of administrative support services, to support clinicians and the effective operations of North West Hospital and Health Service, by providing relief / backfill to various positions throughout the hospital.
- To be part of a team that actively contributes to patient safety by following policies, procedures and protocols of the North West Hospital and Health Service.
- To support continued improvement of health services by always participating in quality improvement opportunities.
- To excel in patient safety by active contribution to a framework of sound clinical governance.
The North West Hospital and Health Services (NWHHS) is responsible for the public sector health services in the North West region. The NWHHS covers an area of approximately 300,000 square kilometres and services many of the remote communities within North Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria.
The Health Service is responsible for the promotion and wellbeing of people within the service area and ensuring that health services are of a high quality, accessible to all and effective.

Requirements
- There are no mandatory qualifications required for this position.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
