We are recruiting for a Casual Kiosk Chef to join our culinary team at the Art Gallery of NSW.

  • Located centrally in the CBD â close to public transport
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement

The Role

  • Available to work Thursday through Sunday, day shifts
  • 24 to 38 hours per week.
  • Level 6 hourly rate: M-F at $38.35, Sat at $46.02, Sun at $53.69 plus super
  • Preparing exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavour and appearance
  • Run the section allocated
  • Ensure food is served at agreed quality and speed of service
  • Working with a large company with multiple restaurants
  • Follow all food safety procedures and legislation

About You

  • A motivated chef with a passion for creating excellent dishes
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, from busy cafe
  • Certified in Commercial Cookery
  • Punctual, self-driven and autonomous, whilst being open to direction and learning
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic
