About The Role

The Mechanical Fitter role is a full-time position based at Villawood, NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our Martini manufacturing site, you will work on the day shift (Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm) assisting with general mechanical maintenance and breakdown work.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have a manufacturing or building background, a Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate (or similar), good attendance, and a strong awareness of health, safety, and the environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero-harm environment, and ensure to Never Walk Past.
  • Maintain operational machines at the Martini manufacturing site.
  • Complete planned maintenance tasks.
  • Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
  • Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Manager.
  • Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to blenders, conveyors, gearboxes/drives, pneumatics, pumps, bearings, rollers, etc.
  • Fabrication – simple stick and MIG welding.
  • Machine tools – occasional use of milling machine, lathe, and pedestal drill.
  • Maintain safe work and operating practices and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
