Responsibilities

Lumus Imaging are currently looking for an experienced registered or enrolled nurse to join our friendly professional team working in our medical imaging department at our newly acquired site at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, you will work closely with radiographers and radiologists, providing general nursing services to outpatients and hospital inpatients, and participating in imaging procedures in modalities such as Ultrasound, CT, and Fluoroscopy.

This is a great opportunity to be involved with our expansion and to work with friendly hours between 9 am – 5 pm with on-call shift work.

Werribee Mercy Hospital, located about 25 km west of Melbourne on the Princes Highway, is a dynamic public general hospital offering services including surgical, maternity, orthopaedic, and a 24-hour emergency department. A new emergency department is underway with a view to completion in late 2026; the expansion will increase treatment spaces from 33 to 67.

Essential
  • Aiding and performing nursing duties within the radiology department including liaison and support to all modalities.
  • Providing procedural care and support including pre- and post activities.
  • Performing duties in accordance with Company protocols and ensuring high attention to detail and quality when completing required documentation.
  • Coordinating, planning, and assisting with interventional procedures.
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Maintain accreditation by attendance at seminars and lectures.
  • Relevant Working with Children checks.

Experience within Medical imaging, emergency or Surgical scrub is not essential; however, it would be beneficial. We encourage continuous growth and training for all staff.
