We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as an Underwriting Specialist. This role is a perfect starting point for someone looking to launch their career in the insurance industry while making a meaningful impact.

You'll play a vital role in helping us achieve our vision of being the most experienced and responsive insurance partner to the Strata community. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving our customer service by completing essential underwriting administration tasks efficiently and accurately. Working in a supportive team, learning and developing your skills in a fast-paced environment, with plenty of opportunities to grow your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Learn and Apply Underwriting Guidelines: Ensure all necessary data is sourced and recorded for the Underwriters to make effective decisions.
  2. Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately input data into systems and tools following our standard operating procedures.
  3. Customer & Intermediary Support: Respond to service support requests and maintain clear communication through correspondence, notifications, and other documents.
  4. Process Management: Help process renewals, closing procedures, document requests, and intermediary appointments.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Participate in team meetings, offering feedback on ways to improve team processes and efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Completing the closing process after Underwriters accept terms and finalising policies.
  2. Sending notifications and following up on outstanding documents, surveys, payments, and renewals.
  3. Processing policy data.
  4. Maintaining oversight of your tasks.
  5. Responding to intermediary enquiries.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in an administrative or customer service-based position is a plus.
  2. Education: School leaver or recent university graduate, with an eagerness to learn.
  3. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  4. Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
  5. Are an Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
