Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Aircraft Certification Engineer to join our team at RAAF Base Williamtown. In this role, you will help support the aircraft certification process, ensuring that any changes to the aircraft meet safety and performance standards. You'll work on important projects, supporting major updates and upgrades to aircraft designs.

We are open to considering either a contract or permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Aircraft Certification Programs: Assist in the certification of major changes to the aircraft, including software updates and configuration changes, working with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Ongoing Aircraft Development: Help deliver continuous upgrades and improvements to the aircraft, ensuring the aircraft stays current with new requirements.
  • Certification Planning & Coordination: Plan, organize, and carry out activities to support aircraft certification throughout the aircraft's service life.
  • Document Preparation: Develop and update essential documents, including compliance checklists, configuration control reports, risk assessments, and certification reviews.
  • Post-Upgrade Certification Support: Help support aircraft certification after updates or upgrades, maintaining the required certification standards.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Successfully collaborate with key teams to ensure certification activities are carried out effectively.
  • Support Aircraft Upgrades: Help implement configuration upgrades to the aircraft as required.
  • Maintain Certification Documentation: Ensure that all required documents, such as compliance checklists and risk assessments, are created and updated as needed.
  • Manage Certification Requirements: Effectively handle customer requirements for certification, ensuring all processes are followed.
  • Post-Upgrade Certification Support: Assist in supporting the ongoing certification process after major updates or upgrades.
  • Weekly Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Chief Engineer on certification progress.

Other Important Information:

  • This position requires on-site work at RAAF Base Williamtown and is not open to remote work options.
  • We are open to considering either a contract or permanent position for the right candidate.
