This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

Ideally, we are seeking a motivated, innovative, and strategic leader to join our Leadership Team as Head of Learning Area (HOLA) – Mathematics. The successful applicant should advance the College's vision to be a learning community that has a supportive and inclusive culture and provides experiences which enable every student to achieve their personal success.

The HOLA Mathematics would be responsible for leading our team of dedicated, passionate and collaborative mathematics teachers. With a strong commitment to staff development, they should support and mentor teachers to build capacity, promote best practice, ensuring continuous professional improvement and team effectiveness.

The successful applicant will ideally display high level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead others with a forward-thinking approach to curriculum and instructional practice, embracing opportunities for innovation and collaboration. An ability to lead strategic planning, performance development, and data-informed decision-making will be valued.

A deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, including Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), General and Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways, and a commitment to inclusive and differentiated learning is desirable.

As HOLA Mathematics, the successful applicant would be expected to translate the college's priorities outlined in the Business Plan into a responsive and improvement-focused Learning Area Operational Plan.

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
