About The Role

As Lead Software Engineer, you will:

  1. Define and execute the technical vision for modernising our product suite, focusing on Azure cloud-native architectures and scalable integration patterns.
  2. Architect & build complex, multi-team solutions, including payment processing systems and data-intensive applications.
  3. Write production code regularly, ensuring high standards of engineering excellence.
  4. Lead cloud migration initiatives and transform legacy applications into high-performance, scalable solutions.
  5. Mentor & coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product & Business teams to shape technical strategy and drive innovation.
What You'll Bring
  1. 15+ years of software engineering experience, with expertise in modernising legacy applications, distributed systems, and cloud-native development (Azure).
  2. Strong C# .NET, TypeScript, and Azure cloud capabilities.
  3. Extensive experience with payment systems, financial transaction processing, and secure integrations.
  4. A deep understanding of data architectures, real-time processing, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
  5. A track record of leading large-scale technical transformations across multiple teams.
  6. Experience implementing engineering best practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, and performance optimisation.
  7. A passion for mentoring engineers and growing technical leadership within an organisation.
