About The School
Harristown State High School continues to be one of the largest secondary schools in Toowoomba, and remains the envy of many schools in terms of its rich curriculum. Our enrolment approaches 1,740 students; over 240 staff are employed each day. Our school operates across three distinct campuses and provides the greatest number and variety of subject offerings for students across Years 7 to 10, and in Years 11 and 12, of any secondary school in Toowoomba, ranking highly in the state of Queensland.

About The Role
As the Deputy Principal you will:
- Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools.
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning.
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
