Job Description:

The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Specialist in Palliative Care to join our team.

About the Role:
  • Provide high-quality specialist palliative care medical services, consultancy, and advice to patients and families.
  • Facilitate the development and delivery of best practice specialist palliative care medical services in Tasmania.
  • Teach palliative care to undergraduate and postgraduate students, general practitioners, and primary and specialist health professionals.
  • Promote and participate in palliative care research, audits, and evaluation to improve evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with primary health service providers and specialist health service providers across various settings for effective continuity of care.
About the Team:

You will be part of a friendly and motivated multidisciplinary team based in Launceston, providing palliative care services across Northern Tasmania.

  • A competitive salary range of $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
