Job OverviewAs a sales assistant at Salvos Stores, you will play a vital role in supporting the Store Manager with daily operations and providing an exceptional in-store experience for our team, customers, and community members.
Your Key Responsibilities- Retail Sales: Assist with processing transactions, managing stock levels, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
- Donation Management: Collect, sort, and price donations to ensure maximum resale value.
- Visual Merchandising: Develop and coordinate visual displays to engage customers and promote products.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Stock Display: Ensure that stock is displayed correctly in designated departments, following policies and procedures.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures, and demonstrate The Salvation Army's core values in all activities.
- Heavy Lifting and Manual Handling: Assist with moving, lifting, and arranging stock and donations as required.
You should have previous retail sales experience, but this is not essential. What matters most is your passion for delivering outstanding results in a dynamic retail environment.
High-energy individuals with excellent customer service skills, integrity, and alignment with The Salvation Army's mission and values are highly regarded.
You must be flexible to work a rolling roster, including weekends, and willing to work across various retail locations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and solid technical skills are also essential for success in this role.About Salvos Stores
