We are looking for experienced Electrical Technicians with a pro-active, can-do approach, and who are able to demonstrate the ability to achieve positive outcomes in a safe and efficient manner.

As an Electrical Technician within TasNetworks' Field Operations team, you will work on the supply and distribution of HV and LV equipment and major plant equipment to provide timely, quality and cost-effective services across underground construction and maintenance in Southern Tasmania.

Working towards safe, efficient and customer focused outcomes, you will be exposed to work involving underground cables, cabinets and turret fit offs and ground mount substation works, whilst working within the distribution network.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a trade qualified Electrician (Cert III in Electrotechnology) and hold a Tasmanian Electrical Practitioners Licence. This, combined with your proven ability to determine the most effective and efficient way to achieve results whilst focusing on continuous improvement is key to joining a high performing team.

Whilst desirable, holding any of the following licences will be advantageous:

  • Medium or Heavy Rigid drivers licence
  • High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG), Elevating Work Platform (WP), Vehicle Loading Crane (CV)

Travel within the southern region of Tasmania is essential. Once required training is completed, there is the ability to participate in overtime and the on-call roster.
