System Administrator | L3 | Hybrid

Base pay range: A$100,000.00/yr - A$130,000.00/yr

This is a permanent, hybrid role with a leading IT solutions provider in Canberra. The role involves handling escalations from the level 2 team, solving complex technical problems across modern infrastructure, and contributing to BAU and project work (e.g., cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, digital transformation).

Overview

Position: System Administrator / L3 Engineer

Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia (hybrid)

Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary escalation point for all High Priority Incidents
  • Act as a primary response avenue to all escalated tickets
  • Resolve level 3 technical issues and communicate with clients and service team
  • Provide deskside support and onsite visits to a variety of clients (scheduled and reactive)
  • Support applications, networks, phones, security and infrastructure for clients
  • Respond to and resolve tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Collaborate and escalate level 3 issues to Senior System Administrators / SME Specialists, Team Lead or Service Operations Manager
  • Enter all ticket and time entries into the CRM Database (ConnectWise)
  • Ensure quality of service through excellent customer service
  • Mentor junior service staff
Skills and Experience Required
  • 5+ years of technical support experience, preferably with an MSP
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisation
  • Team player with strong listening, feedback processing, and knowledge sharing
Exposure & Technical Experience
  • Cloud & Applications (SharePoint, Windows, Azure)
  • Modern Microsoft stack (Microsoft 365, Windows Server)
  • Security (MDM, Sophos, Defender, Tenable)
