Classification: YP3 – YP9

Salary: $42.41 – $52.20 per hour (excluding super)

Hours: Up to 80 per fortnight (includes an ADO every 4 weeks if working full-time)

Employment Type: Ongoing Full-Time or Part-Time

Mandatory: 2025 Flu Vaccination

With over 50,000 emergency presentations each year, this is one of the busiest regional EDs in Victoria, operating 24/7 and staffed by emergency medicine specialists, critical care nurses, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-focused nursing care
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary ED team
  • Rotate through all areas of the department, including triage, resus, short stay, and fast track
  • Mentor and support junior nurses and students
  • Maintain professional standards in line with AHPRA, Code of Ethics, and Code of Professional Conduct
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and infection control standards

About You

Essential

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Commitment to patient safety, professional development, and quality care
  • Full Australian working rights

Desirable

  • Recent Emergency Department experience
  • Postgraduate studies in Emergency or Critical Care (or willingness to complete)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Additional Requirements

  • National Police Check (current & satisfactory)
  • Working with Children Check (for child-related roles)
  • Compliance with staff immunisation requirements
