The RoleWe have an exciting permanent part-time position available to join our Educational Delivery team in Carpentry at TAFE Queensland's Roma Campus. As a TAFE Teacher in Carpentry, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry professionals by sharing your extensive industry knowledge with students in a classroom or other educational setting. This position reports to the Western Queensland Manager.
SalaryThe salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $45,601 - $61,042 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications and teaching experience.

Applicants must possess CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent, and the following:
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided
- Evidence of undertaking professional development in vocational training, learning and assessment
- Current Queensland Driver's licence
To become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 (or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 (or TAESS502A/TAEASS502B); or
- TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
- TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or successor); or
- TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
- TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development (or successor); or
- A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland)
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable- CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction
- High level of digital literacy across online Learning Management Systems
- Knowledge of national training packages and accredited courses to support competency development and the ability to respond to industry and individual needs
- Capacity for best practice in teaching and learning activities, including flexible, innovative, technology-enhanced learning
- Initiative, self-management, teamwork and change management using strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to self-development with focus on current industry and teaching practices and educational technologies
- Knowledge of safe, equitable and anti-discriminatory work practices; ability to deliver a quality student experience
