Overview

Ability Action Australia is expanding its Occupational Therapy team and seeks experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapists to join a multidisciplinary team and make a difference. You will bring expertise, maturity and strong time management and organisational skills. Our purpose is to help participants get more out of life today. We pride ourselves on our culture, clinical excellence, and stewardship. We are looking for OTs who share our passion for disability and the flexibility of working in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • A proactive attitude and interest in continually developing your skills
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
