As part of the Infrastructure Delivery Branch team, as the Plant Operator, you'll be providing beneficial and cost-efficient road construction and maintenance works for the Dubbo Regional Council Local Government Area. This diverse role will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in general plant operation and labouring used for civil engineering services, providing pivotal experience to advance your career. There are currently multiple Plant Operator positions available across our Dubbo depot, working within a team invested in your learning and progression.

You'll Find Growth Through

• Undertaking various civil works duties, such as traffic control, pothole patching, heavy patching, road construction/maintenance, minor sealing works, footpath work and concrete work
• Driving and operating machinery used in road construction and maintenance competently, such as water carts and rollers, among various other types of plant
• Undertaking plant maintenance as per manufacturer's guidelines
• Complying with safety requirements
• Collating and recording information required for works undertaken
  
  

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Demonstrated experience and skills in civil infrastructure related works such as plant operation, road construction and maintenance
• Competent plant operation skills for plant items used for road construction and maintenance
• Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the job
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Class MR and willingness and ability to obtain HR
  
  

We Would Also Love You To Have

• Higher grade truck licences, ability to operate other plant
• RMS Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plan tickets

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $59,561 to $69,219.
