Your Impact: Power BI Developer

We're looking for a skilled and detail-orientated Power BI Developer with a strong IT foundation and experience in web development to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports.

Reporting into the Head of Performance and Reporting, you will be proficient in building Power BI solutions from scratch, embedding dashboards into web application, and managing sensitive data securely and efficiently.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights through storytelling that resonated with stakeholders across our business.

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term transformational opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop end-to-end Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Integrate Power BI reports into web-based environments and web applications.
  • Ensure data security and compliance when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Use data storytelling techniques to present insights in a compelling and intuitive way.
  • Optimise data models and DAX queries for performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with IT data teams to ensure seamless data connectivity and governance.
  • Document processes, data flows and dashboard logic for transparency and maintainability.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Power BI Embedded
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices for handling sensitive data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
  • Strong storytelling and data visualisation skills to communicate insights effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in transport and/or logistics industry is highly desirable.
