SAL Consulting Group is a leading Australian organisation supporting individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, and trauma. As an NDIS registered provider, we offer services including Behaviour Support, Psychology, Clinical Supervision, and Therapy.

Some of the day-to-day duties as Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner include:

  • Providing behaviour support for children and adults with complex disabilities, psycho-social support needs, mental health issues, and trauma-based presentations
  • Conducting assessments of clients' presenting issues and support needs, and identifying appropriate supports, interventions, and service models
  • Designing, developing, and implementing intervention plans and strategies
  • Facilitating the delivery of clinical frameworks and activities
  • Providing client support through clinic or home-based sessions, training, and resource development
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team to optimise client outcomes
  • Managing a caseload of 13-20 clients (caseload will vary depending on skills, experience, and NDIS funded hours)
  • Regular travel around Melbourne metro area, with occasional regional and interstate travel

Qualifications required as a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology or a related discipline (e.g., Social Work, Education, Habilitation)
  • Practitioner registration with the NDIS Commission
  • Experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and/or trauma
  • Experience in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodiverse populations
  • Experience providing clinical and/or behaviour assessment, intervention, and support in the disability, out-of-home care, or relevant sectors
  • Experience in providing practice or clinical supervision to other practitioners
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to travel
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to attain these)
  • Willingness to adhere to vaccination requirements in specific sectors
