The Role

Opportunity exists to join the Defence Intelligence Group (DIG) and contribute to supporting Australia's national security and strategic objectives. We seek motivated individuals with passion, creativity, good judgment, and adaptability to achieve our missions. The positions will drive workforce initiatives specific to the Defence Intelligence Enterprise, enabling critical outputs for Defence.

The areas of focus for the roles available in the Intelligence People Function may include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Workforce Planning to uplift Defence Intelligence Enterprise Workforce.
  • Implementation of Defence People System Initiatives.
  • Supporting Delivery of Workforce Professionalisation Plan.
  • Support Design and Implementation of Workforce Modernisation Activities.

Locations: Brindabella Park - ACT, Canberra; Wollongong - NSW

The Intelligence People Strategy Advisor is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex tasks within an integrated workforce, working towards priorities that support the Defence Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) workforce initiatives.

About our Team

The successful candidates will have an exciting opportunity to shape the work of the Directorate and how it can best provide workforce capability functions, supporting DIG and the wider DIE. You will work as part of a motivated, collaborative, flexible team and engage with key stakeholders across the Group and other parts of the Defence Organisation.

The APS 6 Intelligence People Strategy Advisor will organize workflows and make independent decisions within their responsibility area. They will interpret and advise based on legislation, policy, and procedures, undertaking research, analysis, reviews, and assessments to achieve results.
