An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Seed Heritage's Merchandise Planning team as a Junior Planner, working closely with the Merchandise Planner to optimise sales, stock, and profitability in the Women's Apparel department through meticulous planning, forecasting, and analysis.

THE ROLE:
  1. Assist in developing seasonal class plans for sales, OTB, markdowns, GP, stocks, and weeks cover.
  2. Conduct post-seasonal analysis and recommend sales forecasts and initiatives.
  3. Maintain item flows and optimize inventory levels for key items.
  4. Collaborate with Designers on size, color, and product analysis.
  5. Review store gridding and allocate stock based on sales data and customer demographics.
  6. Prepare and present weekly trading meetings with comprehensive reporting and analysis.
  7. Liaise with Head of Retail and State Managers on store needs and stock opportunities.
  8. Support in managing updates to range plans and monthly forecast reviews.
  9. Assist in managing orders, quantification adjustments, and size ratio analysis.
  10. Provide guidance on allocations by store and monitor grids/profiles.
  11. On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  1. 2–3 years of experience in allocation or merchandise planning within a retail environment is preferred.
  2. A bachelor's degree in business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field preferred.
  3. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
