Job Description

Your Purpose:

As a Maintenance and Grounds Support Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for Sundale's grounds, facilities, and equipment. This role involves a variety of tasks, from general maintenance and repairs to potentially driving a bus to support the transportation needs of our community.

What You'll Do:

  • Grounds Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and presentation of Sundale's grounds, gardens, and facilities to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
  • Maintenance Support: Carry out audits and inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds, and complete any identified maintenance actions.
  • Respond to Requests: Promptly and professionally respond to maintenance requests in consultation with the Maintenance and Site Managers.
  • Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure repairs and maintenance work are completed efficiently.
  • Documentation: Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legislative, professional standards, and contractual obligations.
Desired Skills and Experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Hands-on "handyperson" skills with experience in using basic maintenance equipment.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Experience in building relationships and effectively collaborating with team members and external contractors.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Completion of relevant trade or certificate-level training is desirable (e.g., pool maintenance, permit to work, horticulture).
  • Practical experience in a similar role.
