Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Derivatives Analyst to join our APAC Regulatory team- SYDNEY , supporting oversight of Corpay's Australian investment business. Reporting to the Global Regulatory Officer (London), this role provides regulatory monitoring and oversight for derivatives activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, providing second-line monitoring, feedback, and recommendations to ensure robust controls, effective risk management, and alignment with the firm's risk appetite.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and conduct oversight and monitoring of derivatives activities within Corpay's Australian operations.
Act as the second line of defence, monitoring controls and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Review and monitor client communications (including calls and emails), providing feedback to employees to ensure regulatory compliance and best practice.
Perform Compliance monitoring, report results, and recommend improvements to derivatives activities and controls.
Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to develop and maintain a derivatives data warehouse using Power BI.
Apply strong monitoring practices through interviews, file reviews, data analysis, document checks, and review of recorded conversations.
Produce timely monitoring reports highlighting emerging risks, trends, or patterns, with recommendations for management action.
Support the Regulatory team in ensuring the firm's continued compliance with regulatory obligations, while enabling business success within Corpay's risk framework.
Qualifications & Experience1+ year of experience with derivatives, ideally in FX options.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as a self-starter while contributing effectively in a team environment.
Confident communicator, able to engage with Sales and other stakeholders in a robust yet commercially minded manner.
Experience with Power BI or data analysis tools is an advantage.
