Boandik is currently seeking a Clerical Support Worker – Residential to join our team at our Lake Terrace, Mount Gambier site. This is a permanent part-time position working 32 hours per week.
Boandik is the largest Residential Aged Care, Community Care and Disability Service provider in the Limestone Coast employing over 450 staff.
About the role:
In this role you will provide essential administrative support to the Residential Manager and Clinical teams, ensuring the efficient operation of our Lake Terrace Facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from managing resident records and coordinating medical supplies to scheduling appointments and supporting daily operations. By handling these key functions, you'll ensure that our clinical staff have the necessary resources and information to provide outstanding care to our residents.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver customer-focused service to residents, families, staff and visitors.
Provide general administrative support to the Residential Manager.
Manage and coordinate the ordering and distribution of medical supplies and personal care items for residents.
Update and maintain resident records in both electronic (iCare) and paper-based systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support the clinical team by preparing rosters, notices, meeting minutes and other clerical tasks.
Liaise with external providers, including pharmacies, medical clinics, and transport services, to support resident care needs.
Assist with new resident admissions and onboarding processes for staff.
Respond to inquiries from residents, families, and staff, directing them to the appropriate team or resource when needed.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Strong organisation and administration skills with experience in a similar role (highly regarded).
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
High proficiency with MS Office Suites, including Excel and ability to use and learn various internal software systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to deal with a wide range of staff and stakeholders.
