How you will make a contribution:
The Procurement Manager role at Saputo Dairy Australia (SDA) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing, driving, and executing procurement-led strategic initiatives. This role demands leadership not only within the Procurement team but also across the wider organization. The successful candidate will act with absolute integrity, professionalism, and commitment, managing cross-functional teams to achieve goals aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Provide visionary leadership to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals. Drive strategic initiatives to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Ensure stakeholders receive comprehensive commercial advice and counsel based on sound knowledge and experience, enabling informed business decisions.
- Market Insights: Bring external insights and understand the markets in which SDA operates. Identify key drivers to mitigate inflationary pressures and lead projects that support the business in achieving its financial performance targets.
- Sustainability and Risk Management: Ensure procurement practices meet commercial, operational, and sustainability objectives while minimizing or mitigating risks.
Category Planning and Execution:
Develop and deploy category plans to support Saputo Dairy Australia in achieving its goals across Utilities, Corporate Services, and Marketing spend categories. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting spend analysis and market research to identify innovation and cost-saving opportunities.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating business risks.
- Leading supplier selection, RFPs, and negotiations to secure optimal outcomes.
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring contract compliance.
- Tracking and reporting on category and supplier performance.
- Developing budget guidance and ensuring robust plans to support the annual Business Plan.
A critical component of the role is to support the development and implementation of renewable and non-renewable procurement strategies and market guidance that align with Australian regulatory requirements and Saputo Dairy Australia's Sustainability goals, as specified in the Saputo Promise Report.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a procurement role within large, complex organizations.
- Experience in developing leading-edge, best practice procurement strategies across various categories.
- Experience in implementing procurement systems and utilizing sourcing tools.
This role offers scope to expand your procurement skill set, with senior stakeholder engagement being a key component.
