Mount Private Hospital is looking for a Clinical Nurse for their Coronary Care Unit to join on a full-time permanent basis. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care
- Providing a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education, maintaining high-quality nursing care within a safe environment
- Developing and utilising strategies that promote effective communication
- Working in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding care provision, promoting beneficial relationships
Selection Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, predominantly in critical/coronary care
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality patient care
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
- Post-graduate certificate in critical/coronary/cardiac nursing is essential; relevant experience and willingness to enroll in a postgraduate program will also be considered
About Us
Located near King's Park, Mount Private Hospital is Western Australia's leading private provider of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, supported by the largest private Critical Care Unit (CCU).
Our 31-bed Coronary Care Unit is busy, with many high-end interventional cardiac procedures performed regularly, including PCI, cardiac device insertion, LAAO, ablation, pre-op CABG, and TAVI. The CCU provides MET services for the hospital and adjoining medical suites, as well as a Priority Admission Service for chest pain and respiratory conditions.
At Mount Private Hospital, you will gain experience in a high-acuity unit servicing three Cath Labs and a Hybrid theatre. You will be supported by our Nurse Unit Manager, dedicated Staff Development Nurse, and a team of experienced Clinical and Registered nurses.
The CCU is supported by a 10-bed Level 3 Intensive Care Unit performing over 700 open-heart procedures annually. If cardiac nursing is your passion, Mount is the place to be.
