A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage experienced Senior Business Analysts to support the sustainment and enhancement of critical Defence capability management systems. The successful Business Analysts will work in Canberra to support the renewal of key systems, business intelligence, reporting, and change initiatives. This is a long-term engagement with no remote work available.

The successful Business Analysts will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Conducting research, interviews, and workshops to capture and document business requirements.
  • Analysing and organising information to reconcile conflicts and distinguish business needs from solution ideas.
  • Supporting change management activities and system upgrade planning.
  • Assisting project teams to meet schedule, business, and budget goals.
  • Providing guidance to other analysts and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful Business Analysts will have experience in the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • Proven ability to elicit, document, and manage complex business requirements in large environments.
  • Experience working within Commonwealth Government projects or programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and support business analysis functions across multiple streams.
