Due to continued growth of our business, we have an exciting new opportunity for an Acceptance Representative to join our high-performing Retail Lending team in our Macquarie Park office Working in a hybrid environment, you'd be expected to attend the office a couple of days a week.

Reports to the Retail Lending Acceptance Team Leader, you will be investigating and accepting consumer and commercial retail finance applications. You will be building and strengthening relationships with our dealer and introducer network as you maximise all new business opportunities, whilst managing the credit risk and industry compliance framework.

Responsibilities

  1. Assessment, recommendation and decision-making on consumer and commercial retail finance applications.
  2. Contacting financial and credit institutions to obtain information about customers.
  3. Preparing recommendations for setting out conditions of approvals.
  4. Conduct assessment to determine the customers' ability to meet lending criteria, in line with current Responsible Lending Guidelines.
  5. Ensure all applications meet the AML legislative requirements and Allied Credit Group – Credit & Lending Policies and Procedures.
  6. Manage, negotiate and provide a variety of lending options to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome with the introducer.
  7. Develop and maintain a sound rapport with the Introducer network and internal Sales staff.
  8. Assist the Settlements team in delivering the agreed Allied Credits' SLAs.
  9. Support the management & leadership team with ad-hoc project/ systems improvement work.

Your background

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience in (ideally) both consumer and commercial lending for vehicle, property or asset-based finance.
  2. Relevant lending and credit experience in a responsible lending environment, including knowledge of legislative/regulatory framework (including NCCP).
  3. Has achieved the right to hold a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA).
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills in dealing with external dealer network.
  5. Demonstrable proficiency across the MS Office suite.
  6. A proven ability to "look outside the box" on credit decisions.
  7. Strong customer service focus in dealing with our external dealer network as well as a team player.
