THE ROLE

Reporting to the National HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring Duratec's compliance with environmental legislation and best practices across our national operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with pre-contract teams to incorporate environmental management measures into submissions and project plans
  • Develop and implement Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
  • Design and deliver environmental awareness programs and training
  • Conduct environmental inspections and oversee management measure implementation
  • Lead the implementation of Duratec's Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Assist in developing systems, subplans, inspections, and monitoring tools
  • Review environmental incidents and support incident management at a national level
  • Ensure project delivery complies with environmental obligations
  • Lead environmental initiatives and support project teams in meeting commitments
  • Contribute to organizational change to achieve ESG objectives

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in a lead role within construction or mining sectors
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and compliance processes
  • Experience in environmental monitoring, auditing, data collection, and reporting
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills for coordinating tasks and projects with timely decision-making

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, or related fields
  • Experience with electronic HSE event management systems
